Description

The Giornale della Libreria, the official publication of the Association of Italian Publishers, is an effective and authoritative means of communication with bookshops and libraries.

An indispensable tool for training and professional updating for those operating in the sector, the Giornale della Libreria has established its role as the leading journal through a series of services which are essential for carrying out activities in the world of books:

News, with ample space given to the latest publishing and commercial        developments

Interviews, with leading figures in the publishing world

Special reports, to provide in-depth information and stimulate new ideas among booksellers on specific themes

The regular feature Scenari & Trend with analysis and statistics on particular publishing sectors

New books review

Data on books out of print for returns

Book in print on line

Scenari & trends

Unique of its type, Scenari & Trends, following a publishing plan, provides an updated guide to publishing production in specific sectors drawing on the very latest data and detailed statistics, which are also taken up by the cultural supplements of the major newspapers. This feature is intended to give booksellers a preview of coming publications, to enable improved handling
of purchases and better warehouse and shop window organization. In harmony with a publication plan dealing each month with topics of greatest current interest or traditional regularly-occurring subjects, whether seasonal or thematic, Scenari & Trends is supplemented
with statistical data and reports on market research and new tendencies, including opinions
of individual publishers. This section will be particularly useful for libraries, which will always have a complete picture of new publications coming out. In addition, from January 2012, thanks to cooperation with Informazioni Editoriali, it will be possible to see the progress of the entire production of books, month by month, with a cross-section on specific markets showing production in that sector, average cover price, comparison with previous years etc.
